Whether you want to start learning a language from scratch or you just want to refresh your existing language skills: At treffpunkt sprachen, the Centre for Language, Plurilingualism and Didactics, you are sure to find what you are looking for! We especially recommend the Intensive courses.

The University of Graz offers its students a variety of opportunities to acquire or deepen so-called soft skills, for example in the form of courses, workshops or trainings.

The wide range of courses and seminars include topics from intercultural competence to body language, academic writing or voice and speech training to mediation.

Are you about to write your bachelor's or master's thesis ‒ or perhaps even your doctoral thesis ‒ and would you like some support in the writing process? The Schreibzentrum - University of Graz will provide you with complete backing! Students receive help and support in all writing-related matters here, extending from revising texts, individual writing advice or full creative exposés.

Have you given any thought to the professional specialisation with which you want to continue? Are there any skills and competencies you wish to strengthen? A career field analysis by the Career Center or a competency analysis by the Center for Digital Teaching and Learning will make your decision much easier. Two workshops each semester are even offered especially for the needs of students of the Faculty of Humanities! The Career Center also offers many interesting workshops as well as individual counselling for you to take advantage of.

If you are starting to work on your doctoral thesis, the Doctoral-Academy is your first choice. The service offers events, coaching, courses, writing groups and personal counselling as well as all information about financing and organisation related to doctoral studies.

The PostDoc office provides information and services for young scientists. From mentoring programs to workshops and career development, you will find everything you need to know about your career in academia here.

The Center for Digital Teaching and Learning offers regular workshops specifically for students of the Faculty of Humanities.
