This project develops a political conception of transitional justice suitable for future-oriented transitions. The project will offer an alternative conception to strongly historical tied conceptions and historical weakly tied concepts. Addressing transitional justice as a normative practice with historical roots, this project will identify a concept of transitional justice cleaning conceptual boundaries from its historical foundations. Simultaneously, it appeals to history as a heuristic device to construct a conception of transitional justice to deal with the future-oriented transitions.
