Virtual, interactive and multimedia study orientation
Unigates are interactive multimedia web platforms that offer information on specific degree programmes in the form of virtual brochures, helping you to find the right degree programme. They provide prospective students with realistic information about the degree programme, the university and the place of study and at the same time serve to create and present a profile of the degree programme.
A brief profile of the degree programme is supplemented with student interviews and virtual tours to give authentic insights into the university and student life. Short videos with graduates highlight possible occupational fields and paths, thus allowing prospective students to already consider the labour market even before choosing a degree programme. Brief self-assessment questionnaires encourage prospective students to rethink their choice of degree programme in relation to their own expectations in addition to their subject-related interests, inclinations and study requirements. Critical study situations can be experienced and tackled in a quiz. Sample tasks introduce the prospective students to the subject matter, rounding off the range of information.
There are individual Unigates available for almost all bachelor’s degree programmes of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities:
- Ancient History and Classical Antiquities
- English Studies / American Studies, Archaeology
