Joint Degree master’s programmes
In addition to the consecutive master's programmes, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities also offers 6 Joint Degree master's programmes.
A Joint Degree master's programme is a master's degree programme developed jointly together with other universities. Therefore, students of a Joint Degree programme study not only in Graz, but also at one or more partner institutions. A semester abroad is therefore usually obligatory. A degree obtained through this cooperation is recognised at all participating universities. Detailed information about Joint Degree master's programmes can be found here.
A Joint Degree master's programme comprises 4 semesters and includes a workload of 120 ECTS credits ‒ just as all other master’s programmes. The degree awarded is based on the completed programme ("Master of Arts in ..."). After graduating in "History of South-Eastern Europe", a student would therefore be awarded the degree "Master of Arts in History of South-Eastern Europe".
