Accreditation
Information about the administrative process of examination result accredidation, from applying for accreditation to collecting the accreditation notification, can be found here. Examination accreditation is pursuant to § 78 Universities Act 2002 and § 63 (9) Universities Act 2002.
If you have any questions regarding the accreditation process, please contact the chairperson of the curricular committee (CuKo chairperson) responsible for your field of study (The chairpersons of the curricular committee as well as their consultation hours are listed in UNIGRAZonline under "Supreme Management Body" ‒ "Senate" ‒ "Curricular Committee".)
- Due to a change in regulations, no diploma theses or master's theses are allowed to be accredited as of 1 January 2011.
- REGARDING STEOP: Accredited non-STEOP exam results will be counted as preponed ECTS credit points if the STEOP period is not completed!

If you are studying in a curriculum that has already been adapted to the new type of curriculum administration (SPO Management), the following instructions apply to you:
- SPO - detailed guide for accredidation of exams (pdf only in German)
- SPO - quick guide for accredidation of exams (only in German)
ACCREDIDATION:
Please send your accredidationform to gewi.anerkennung(at)uni-graz.at. (Please consider that a personal appearance will not help to shorten the procedure.)
After submitting your printed requests for accredidation to the dean's office (send an e-mail or drop it into the mailbox in front of the dean's office), the request will be checked, recorded and submitted to the chairperson of the curricular committee for approval.
After being checked by the curricular committee, a notification is generated on UNIGRAZonline.
Once the accredidation notification has been signed by the chairperson of the curricular committee, you will be notified via e-mail (to the e-mail address provided to each student by the University of Graz).
The notification will be handed to you directly upon presenting your student ID or will be sent to you electronically.
