Doctoral programmes
Students aspiring to a scientific career at or outside our university, or who wish to deepen their specialist knowledge, can opt for a six-semester doctoral programme. The Faculty of Humanities offers the possibility to complete
- the “Doctoral programme of Philosophy" or
- the "Doctoral programme of Antiquity and Modernity in a European Context"
which awards the degree of "Doctor of Philosophy" (Dr. phil.). The specific subject matter of the dissertation is not reflected in the academic degree.

Students of the doctoral programme of philosophy with the subjects “education" and “human kinetics and sports" must contact the dean's office at the Faculty of Environmental, Regional and Educational Sciences.
